2025年5月から7月まで毎週火曜日に実施している、コンテンポラリーダンスのワークショップDance Scapeの関連企画として、フランス・アンジェの国立現代舞踊センター（CNDC）振付コースを修了し、国内外で活躍しているダンサーの大歳芽里によるワークショップを開催します。

As a related project to the contemporary dance workshop Dance Scape, which runs every Tuesday from May to July 2025, a workshop by Meiri Otoshi, a dancer who has completed the choreography course at the Centre National de Dance Contemporaine (CNDC) in Angers, France, and is working nationally and internationally. The workshop will be held by Meri Otoshi.

クラス内容／Class description

日々、私たちは多くの動きを無意識のうちに繰り返しています。 このワークショップでは、「触れる」ことをひとつの入り口に、呼吸、身体、言葉、他者とのつながりを通して、自分自身の動きや感覚を丁寧に見つめ直していきます。

身体から浮かび上がる言葉に耳を澄まし、その言葉をまた身体に戻して踊ってみる。言葉から想像をひろげてつくる動きは、単なる振付ではなく、その言葉が持つ空気や気配、その人らしさがにじみ出るようなものになるでしょう。それは、自分の中に眠っていた感覚や、思いがけない一面との出会いになるかもしれません。

ダンス経験の有無は問いません。表現に興味のある方、身体の感覚に向き合ってみたい方も、どうぞお気軽にご参加ください。

 

Everyday we repeat many movements unconsciously. In this workshop, we will use ‘touch’ as an entry point to carefully review our own movements and sensations through breath, body, words and connection with others.

We will listen carefully to the words that emerge from the body, and then bring those words back to the body to dance again. The movements created by expanding the imagination from the words will not be mere choreography, but will ooze the air and atmosphere of the words and the personality of the dancer. It may be an encounter with a sense that has been hidden inside you, or an unexpected aspect of yourself.

No dance experience is required. Those interested in expression and those who want to face the sensations of the body are also welcome to join.

京都生まれ。幼少よりバレエを始め、昭和音楽芸術学院バレエ科を卒業。その後フランス・アンジェの国立現代舞踊センター（CNDC）振付コースを修了。ヴィンセント・マンソー、エマニュエル・ユイン、カミーユ・ボワテル、ダニエル・ベルトン、セシル・ラロイ、ポリーヌ・ブラン、ニナ・フラデ、クリコー・クーシアンなど、国内外のアーティストの作品に参加。音楽家、劇団、ヴィジュアルアーティストなど異分野のアーティストとの協働も多く、即興性を含んだ身体表現を通して創作活動を行っている。

また、障がいを持つ方々や子どもたちを対象としたダンスクラスを継続的に担当し、看護学校や小学校、地域施設、カフェなどでもワークショップ講師を務める。ダンスを専門領域にとどめず、より多くの人にとって身近で開かれた表現として広げていくことをライフワークとしている。

 

Born in Kyoto. Started ballet at an early age and graduated from the ballet department of the Showa Music and Arts Academy. Later completed a choreography course at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine (CNDC) in Angers, France. She has participated in works by national and international artists such as Vincent Mantsoe ,Emmanuelle Huynh, Camille Boitel, Daniel Belton, Cécile Laloy, Pauline Brun, Nina Fradet, Krikor Kouchian. She often collaborates with artists from different fields, such as musicians, theatre companies and visual artists, and works creatively through physical expression, including improvisation.

She also continuously teaches dance classes for people with disabilities and children, and conducts workshops at nursing schools, primary schools, community facilities and cafés. Her lifework is to expand dance as a familiar and open form of expression for as many people as possible, without limiting it to a specialised field.
